Izu Peninsula, Japan

Lake Ashi: beautiful views hiking around the lake and we could just see Mt Fuji just behind one of the ridges. We walked about half way round then got a boat back.

We changed up our plans to go to Izu instead of Nagano, was the best decision as turned out to be such great weather. The place we stayed in was so nice, Japanese/cosy vibes with both a foot onsen (on the balcony) and an onsen inside ♨️. Nina cheffed up 2 Japanese breakfasts both featuring Natto, which I'm starting to like.

We hiked the Jogosaki coastal trail the next day, the coastline was formed from volcanic rock, so is quite dramatic in parts and very scenic.

The last day we had an early checkout and went for a chilly swim before heading to Magome!
